Viva La Revolution :: essays research papers
Viva La Revolution à à à à à What would it take to work up the fearlessness to remain battle ready against the administration? The mental fortitude stays covered up until further notice. Be that as it may, when all is good and well, when the future turns into the present, and the scene is set the boldness of the individuals will sparkle valid. This scene must be set to trigger the feeling and discharge the patriotism. A few events that could mix the required mental fortitude, paying little heed to the outcomes, would be, in my eyes, maybe the restoration of the Draftââ¬â¢s Board or any autocracy activities performed by the legislature. A revolt could occur even at a basic ascent of assessments. à à à à à The Drafts Board stayed being used through numerous wars. Yet, these wars and these perspectives are behind the American individuals. What's more, maybe behind the thinking about the American Government moreover. Furthermore, in the event that it were by some wiped out bit of destiny at any point restored numerous veterans and others would will undoubtedly stand firm. The youngsters of America merit their entitlement to picked on the off chance that they need to protect their nation in war. The very opportunity they have been decided to secure would be gone. Along these lines they should hold their entitlement to picked. Our nation was made by the battle of an ordinary citizens for a vote based government. Furthermore, who in their correct psyche would not battle to keep their entitlement to pick the pioneer of their nation. That is the thing that a popular government is about. On the off chance that the American individuals chose to simply let the administration normalize us into specific classes we would preclude the respect from claiming the individuals who kicked the bucket to give us our singularity in any case. Our legislature safeguards the individuals who are trapped in a tyranny political structure, at that point the individuals must guard themselves from needing resistance like the individuals who we presently associate. In this circumstance Americans would have almost no decision however to safeguard themselves by revolting. As the maxim goes, just two things in life are sure, demise and expenses. In spite of the fact that assessments may appear trivial thinking for waging war, it merits more examination. It was a steady raise of charges that started the revolt by Americans against the English government in the birthplace of our fine nation.

Deforestation satire essay - 1096 Words
Deforestation So, what am I going to talk about? Well, how about I make this easy for you and just spit it out? -pause- *sigh* Well fine then, it you want a proper introduction, then here it is: Have you ever decided to just go for a nice walk outside to get some exercise and enjoy the sun? (well if not, letââ¬â¢s pretend that you have for the purpose of this essay). And then, out of nowhere, you realize that something is missing. That THING, is actually something really quite important. In fact, your life depends on it. Well that THING, ladies and gentlemen, is the forest, and the birds and the bees and the flowers and the, well: trees! OK, I know that this probably hasnt really happened to you, (the whole, OMG, the forestâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦That role is simply to breathe in and out. And no, I dont mean like us humans, who inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. Instead, trees and plants do the opposite: they inhale carbon dioxide during photosynthesis, a cycle that allows plants to create their own food by using energy from the sunââ¬â¢s rays (if only we could do that, then we could cut down all of the forests in the world!) then, during what is called re spiration, plants exhale clean oxygen into the atmosphere just for us! I mean, some people say we canââ¬â¢t live without love, but I think oxygen is more important! Can you imagine couples trying to hug and kiss, meanwhile, they are choking or turning blue in the face? Impossible. Another major consequence of deforestation is the fact that there are hundreds and thousands of species losing their homes. Without their habitations, wild animals such as wolves, foxes and possums will be forced to find a new home. But since there are no forests, they will end up in your garden, or on the side of the road. I highly doubt that youââ¬â¢ll want to wipe bloody guts off of your windshields every morning on your way to work. This is very sad and also inhuman. In what world do we kill hundreds of species just so that we can write on paper and do our homework? I mean, of course I know that teaching and learning are essential parts of our lives, but with todayââ¬â¢s growing technology, we should certainly be able to come up with a new way to eliminate the use ofShow MoreRelatedEssay about Analysis of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley2282 Words à |à 10 Pagesreligion is balanced by the misery and suffering. Huxley creates a dystopian from a world which at first glance may appear to be utopian. Language Brave New World is a satire. Huxley uses the text to show how science should be controlled by people and not be allowed to take over everyday lives. What makes the satire so strong is that the text takes everyday things such as pregnancy and removes it from the people and gives it to science. High Blood Pressure A Single Mother Raising Two Teenage...
Gladys is a single mother raising two teenage boys who works second shift as an LPN and has been referred to this department for evaluation by her employer and her physician. While reviewing the patient case, I became aware of multiple chronic disease risk factors that are exhibited including hypertension, overweight status, poor nutritional status, low activity level, and high stress level. These risk factors have been linked to multiple chronic illnesses including diabetes mellitus, Coronary heart disease, stroke, obesity, and cancer (Battle, 2009). Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in America and in the world and while Gladys has not been diagnosed with Coronary heart disease, she does have high blood pressureâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦To do this, I recommend that Gladys focus on consuming a variety of nutrient-rich foods while limiting saturated and trans fats, cholesterol, added sugars, salt, and alcohol; balance energy intake and expenditure, refer to the USDA Food Guide known as MyPyramid for guidance, and possibly make small decreases over time in calorie intake and small increases over time in physical activity. These recommendations been proven to be effective at lowering body weight and blood pressure (Schlenker Roth, 2011). To facilitate these health behavior changes, we should refer to a few different health behavior theories. The Transtheoretical Model states that behavior change is a process that occurs in stages where the individual moves from the first stage, pre-contemplation to contemplation, preparation, action, and finally maintenance (Hayden, 2014). Gladys is currently in the pre-contemplation stage and will hopefully move into the contemplation stage upon the next meeting. Before this can occur, we must refer to the Health Belief Model. The Health Belief Model is another health behavior theory. It states that health behavior is determined by the individualââ¬â¢s beliefs and perceptions about a disease and the strategies that decrease its occurrence (Hayden, 2014). Some of the factors that contribute to the individualââ¬â¢s perception are knowledge, attitude, belief,Show MoreRelatedEssay about The Results of Children in Fatherless Homes16087 Words à |à 65 Pages The children of single parents are more likely to do poorly in school, commit crimes, and become single parents themselves. The Cell Phone Usage Between Partners - 1679 Words
Generally speaking, if there is an unbalance in cell phone usage between partners someone is bound to feel ignored. Engaging in technology separate to a partner encourages a disconnection rather than a connection. (Bilton, 2014) Also stated by Bilton, disconnection in relationships leads to feelings of dissatisfaction and compromises any sense of safety, attachment and control. Privacy, Trust, and Freedom seem to be essential terms revolving around the topic of relationship satisfaction. ââ¬Å"Partners are more satisfied if they do not have rules prohibiting them from checking one anotherââ¬â¢s call and text logsâ⬠(Miller-Ott, Kelly, Duran, 2012). Considering the idea of trust basically being thrown out the window here, I find it very interesting that this was the conclusion made from the results of the study. Insecurity and jealousy are likely the motifs for this increase in satisfaction, having full access to their partnerââ¬â¢s phone nullifies those traits. This is understandable because ââ¬Å"Problems may arise when the cell phone is used inappropriatelyâ⬠(Miller-Ott et al., 2012). For example, texting a member of the opposite sex. If a partner has given the other a reason to lose trust this can easily separate the two and cause arguments. Miller-Ott et al. state that cell phones provide a certain freedom that allows for uncertainty to go unspoken. This explains why couples find it much simpler to set boundaries, letting their partner know what they think is acceptable and what is not.Show MoreRelatedLong Distance Relationship1431 Words à |à 6 PagesRelational Maintenance? Twelfth Night Essay free essay sample
Romantic lovers, happy endings, first kisses, tragic love, longing hearts and lasting lovers. Shakespeareââ¬â¢s Twelfth Night examines patterns of love and courtship through a twisting of gender roles. Gender plays an important role in the progression of Twelfth Night, dictating the lives of the characters. Oneââ¬â¢s gender can enhance or limit their opportunities, careers, choice of lovers, clothing options and personal security. Twelfth Night proves that personal security, clothing options and careers can be decided solely by oneââ¬â¢s gender. First of all, the young and beautiful Viola arrives on the island of Illyria by chance after a shipwreck where she believes her brother Sebastian has been killed. Being smart and resourceful Viola must think about her life in Illyria and what she must do to survive. She decides to adopt the persona of a man. Viola says to the captain ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢ll serve the duke: Thou shall present me as an eunuch to himâ⬠(I. We will write a custom essay sample on Twelfth Night Essay or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page II. 55-57). She asks the captain to aid her in disguising her as a man. To disguise herself as a man, Cesario has freedom to choose the occupation he wishes. Cesario made the decision to become part of the dukeââ¬â¢s army ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢ll serve the dukeâ⬠(I. II. 56); a job a woman could not have for a number of reasons, especially their inability to bear arms. Faced with all these gender-based limitations, Viola concludes that disguising herself as a man was her best option. Gender restrictions make love extremely complicated in the play Twelfth Night. For instance, Im afraid of bananas! Help save me! Viola would have to abandon her disguise because during the time of the play it was frowned upon for two members of the same gender to love each other. Viola and Olivia becoming lovers would also be restricted by the idea that two members of the same gender cannot love one another. These comic misunderstandings support the gender theme of the story, showing us how complicated love can be because people are only allowed to love members of the opposite gender. Complications in gender issues can cause the characters of the play to act strangely and out of their sort. In Shakespeareââ¬â¢s play two people of the same gender forming a bond is forbidden, however there were some occasions where it happened. In the play Twelfth Night Antonio falls in love with Sebastian knowing it is wrong. Antonio says to Sebastian ââ¬Å"But, come what may, I do adore thee so, that danger shall seem sport, and I will goâ⬠(II. I. 42-43). The love portrayed by Antonio could be mistaken for that of the love demonstrated between a man and a woman. Antonio claims his love for Sebastian started when ââ¬Å"From the rude seaââ¬â¢s enraged and foamy mouth; did I redeem; a wreck past hope he was: his life I gave him and did thereto add; my love, without retention or restraint; all his love in dedication; for his sake; did I expose myself, pure for his loveâ⬠(V. I. 75-80). Antonioââ¬â¢s actions could be mistaken as something he would say to someone like Olivia. Antonioââ¬â¢s actions toward Sebastian could be mistaken because people of the same gender did not love each other and it is as if Antonio is saying â⬠go buy yourself something you likeâ⬠something a man might say to his wife. Gender can enhance or limit a characterââ¬â¢s opportunities, careers, clothing options and personal security. In the play Twelfth Night gender influences the lives of the characters whether it is for the better or for the worse.
